Some basic tips:

Get a referral from a friend or colleague Don't assume that the attorney on the back of the phone books knows what he or she is doing Consider hiring someone that regularly handles accident and injury cases in that particular area of Virginia - Most importantly, look at the attorney's background, experience, and track record. I am not a tax attorney and would never attempt to help anyone with tax-related issues. Make certain that the attorney you hire has experience handling claims similar to yours.
